Of all the prints synonymous with autumn, I’d go out on a limb and say plaid does the heavy lifting. It’s timeless, versatile, and available in a myriad of flattering color palettes, like deep reds, blues, and greens. Last fall, you likely participated in the oversize plaid shirt trend that took the style set by storm (and probably will this season, too, if we’re being honest), but in the spirit of branching out, I decided to take to the internet for some outfit research on fresh ways to incorporate plaid into our wardrobes.
I could wear plaid shirts all year round, but honestly, they look the best in fall and winter. Plaid shirts, or flannel shirts as some people call them, are so versatile and can be worn in a million different ways. And don’t forget that they’re comfortable, cozy, and usually inexpensive. Dress yours up a bit with white booties and statement earrings.
