While it seems like every celebrity has chopped her hair into some form of long bob recently, the scene outside fall 2015 New York Fashion Week is telling a different trend story—and making me long to take my hair in exactly the opposite direction. Here are just a few of the street-style photos that are inspiring me to keep growing my hair out super-long and strong.
Outside the Jason Wu show, fashion blogger Kristina Bazan worked the winter wind to her advantage—her mane of blond hair looked almost angelic with its soft halo of natural flyaways.
This showgoer took a different strategy, taming her long hair into curling-iron waves. The waves were left flat and intact (vs. brushed out soft), which works when you’re ready to embrace the flatness that winter’s low humidity brings.
And here’s proof that simple can be beautiful. I love fashion journalist Sam Aldenton’s classic straight, blunt blowout and its even-toned brunette shade (a welcome change in a sea of blond ombre). It’s been a while since I got a blowout that didn’t have at least alittle bend in the ends, but now I just might!
Inspired by any of these Fashion Week blowouts? Are you in the mood for long hair these days, or are you loving the trend toward shorter cuts?
