Sarah Jessica Parker Made Your Perfect Holiday Party Dress

Carrie Bradshaw knows a thing or two about shoes, so it’s only fitting that her real-life counterpart—reigning style queen Sarah Jessica Parker—has made a name for herself in the world of fashion too. The actress launched her first shoe line, SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker and has secured herself into our wardrobes with a collection of party-ready heels and flats that couldn’t be more perfect for every occasion, graduation, wedding, summer soirees (SJP herself has called them a “party for your foot.”)

A few weeks ago, I unwrapped these sparkly booties on my Instastory (follow me @celebstyleguide) and was instantly in love! If you have been looking for a pair of compliment fetching boots then these SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker Minnie Shimmer boots are for you! These beauties exude so much chic, they basically belong in Carrie’s closet right next to her famed Manolo Blahniks.

Now that Christmas is upon us, it is officially holiday party season. Between now and January 2, chances are you, like me, will be attending a few festive soirées—whether that’s a work event, BFF shindig, NYE bash, or all the above. Translation: You’re going to need at least one show-stopping party dress. Enter the SJP Collection ‘Title’ dress which is the most coveted dress in my closet. This dress was a holiday gift to me from Sarah Jessica and her partner George Malkemus, the CEO of — need you ask? — Manolo Blahnik. I know. Die.

If you’re getting some serious Carrie Bradshaw vibes from this little dress (cue her famous ballerina tulle moment in the SATC opening), that’s precisely what the SJP had in mind. On Instagram, SJP calls the dress  “quite sentimental, if you know what I mean,” adding that it’s, “For any girl. Any Occasion. And proudly made in America.” It can literally go from desk to dinner.  Not only is the tulle skirt an alternative to the holidays’  typical metallic and sequins, but also, the look can be totally cool when paired with an edgy moto jacket and strappy heels.

Trust me: When you’ve found a dress this good, you’ll never want to take it off.
