Dressing for the Colorado Slopes

IMG_0361

I just got back from Colorado (as you probably already know if you follow me on Instagram @celebstyleguide), and I already miss the snowy slopes. I’m happy to be back in Austin’s beautiful weather, but my girlfriends and I had so much fun skiing (and playing in the snow) for the past week on our girls’ trip. We stayed at my friend’s condo in Beaver Creek, Colorado and spent most of our days exploring the town, relaxing, and skiing all over the mountain range.

I grew up in Canada and have been skiing since I was a kid, so it’s an understatement to say I just like skiing. Because of my history with the sport, I feel like I have a strong sense of what makes good skiwear (hint: it’s quality first and style second). Still, I love finding great coats, pants, and accessories that let me feel warm and equally put-together.

I love my Fendi jacket because of how (ridiculously) warm it is and its lovely color. There’s something so streamlined about the white and blue color blocking. It’s a flattering choice and pairs well with my Kjus ski pants. They’re flexible, durable, and totally waterproof – so they easily keep me warm and dry no matter how much snow I’m jumping into. I accessorized my look with Fendi two toned gloves, which are super padded with an adjustable Velcro strap to secure them well. No cold hands on the mountain here!

My Nike Pro Hyperwarm top kept me dry and warm without adding bulk, and my Lacroix ski goggles were the perfect size for me and kept the view crystal clear! I like a sleeker, more minimal style while skiing, which keeps dressing for the day simple and lets me focus on the blue skies and sunny, gorgeous weather!

More about my ski and mountain style coming soon, so stayed tuned! Have a great weekend, everyone!!
