Trending: Orange Crush
Maybe it’s the pumpkins on every doorstep or the brilliant changing leaves, but more likely, it’s the runways, full of color. Whatever the inspiration, I’ve got a crush on orange. This traditional autumn pop color looks as lovely against a sapphire sky, as it does your favorite pair of denim. Add orange to any look with an accessory piece, like an orange-framed pair of sunglasses or a delicious over-sized watch. Go a little bolder by layering in a orange-hued bootie or scarf. But I suggest going all out with a surprisingly versatile orange peacoat or a fabulous orange striped sweater dress. Indulge your infatuation with this collection of orange pieces:
1. YARNZ Leopard Scarf
Normally a neutral, leopard print gets an autumnal makeover with an orange background. Wear over a neutral sweater all day long, but certainly sport it over your fall coat for seasonal festivity. Cashmere gauze with fringed ends.
2. 3.1 Phillip Lim Double Sleeve Pea Coat
Oran-ge you glad….you stumbled over this peacoat? This pop of orange brings a smile wherever it goes. Almost a blazer, it goes with skinnies and a sweater by day and over nighttime attire just as well. Short peacoat cut with hidden white buttons, front flap pockets, and layered, seamed sleeves.
3. Marc by Marc Jacobs Gradient Sunglasses
Subtle sass. These Marc by Marc Jacobs sunglasses err on the side of the classic, but get their mod vibe from brown/orange frames and gradient lenses.
4. Chan Luu Geometric Chain Fringe Necklace
Tribal trend. This necklace turns an LBD into something bohemian and a simple tee into a work of art. Gunmetal plated with beaded triangles and chain fringe.
5. Michael Kors Large Strap Watch
Everyone should have a signature timepiece. This oversized menswear-inspired piece will be your calling card with its orange face and orange rubber band. Almost candy-like, it’s a delicious addition to your daytime attire.
6. See by Chloe Striped Sweater Dress
Soooo much to love! This sweater dress has vintage appeal with its chevron striped skirt, burnt orange hues, and preppy striped crewneck top. Cutouts at the waist add edgy appeal. Bonus details: 2-button closure at left shoulder, pointelle stripes at skirt, and scalloped edge at hem.
7. Jeffrey Campbell Rumble High Heel Bootie
Kick up your stacked heels, admire your orange-hued toes, or spin that fringe-finished zipper pull. Turn a gray day into something much brighter with these pebbled-leather booties. Blue and orange are perfect color wheel complements…so these booties were meant to be married with your favorite blue denim!
