Runway Report

Local trendsetter and Celebrity Style Guide blogger Heather Campbell-Green names the top looks of the fall season.

SWINGING ’60S
Good news for baby boomers: Bold accessories, linear patterns, miniskirts and knee-high boots are in again. Mix old pieces with updated trends to keep the style fresh.

WESTERN
Boots have gone from the rodeo to the runway. Add Texas twang to an outfit with a simple, dark pair.

EMERALD
Whether it’s a silk scarf, a metallic nail color or a pair of sleek flats, a small pop of emerald helps ground an ensemble. Experiment with different tones and textures.

SPORTSWEAR
Trade high heels for chic sneakers and pair drawstring pants with an embellished top to polish up a look usually reserved for the locker room.

ANIMAL PRINT
Add an extra sizzle to your little black dress with a thin zebra-print belt, or go all out with a leopard-print skirt or dress. Subdued or neutral prints can be worn straight from the office to happy hour.

CAPES
Not just for superheroes anymore, these pieces add style and warmth when the temperatures start to drop later in the season. Top off a date-night ensemble with a luxurious cape or blanket poncho.
