Up and Coming: Emma Stone

It was a busy summer. Friends with Benefits, then Crazy, Stupid, Love, and finishing in August with The Help. If three summer blockbusters doesn’t establish you as a red carpet regular, I don’t know what does. Emma Stone, the fire-y redhead with the husky voice, is this week’s up and coming star, although, after this summer, this twenty-three-year-old has already made it. Whether she’s sparkling in a red carpet gown or strolling the sidewalks, Stone has established herself as a fashionista as well. Here are a few of my favorite looks:

On the Red Carpet

Emma Stone opted for sophisticated, yet youthful cocktails dresses on the red carpet this summer. This Tibi Silk and Lace Dress and Julien Macdonald Organza and Velvet Dress are a nod to Emma’s love of the LBD. Playful lace and organza overlays, a kicky skirt, and a figure-hugging sillouette seem to be Emma’s faves. Pair with leg-lengthening nude pumps like these Vera Wang Lavender Label Zoey Platform Pumps and a tidy little Diane von Furstenberg Tonda Sliced Leather Clutch to steal her red carpet style.

On the Movie Screen

So many films to choose from this summer, but I chose Crazy, Stupid, Love. Her style in this movie was undeniably adorable, a mix of pulled together daywear and chic nightwear….all looks completely wearable for a wide range of ages. Her cocoa-colored dress is much like this Ark & Co. Pleated Midi Dress, with its simple crew neckline, warm neutral color, and pleated, moves-with-you cut. Add Enzo Angiolini Slogan Pumps to emulate this on-screen sweetheart.

On the Street

Emma’s a darling off the screen, as well as on. She takes to the sidewalks in sleek skinnies, like these versatile J Brand 910 Ankle Skinny Jeans. Layer your favorite black blazer over a fresh striped tee like the Enza Costa Short Sleeve V-neck Tee. Finish with Emma’s go-to shoe…the pump…this time in supple nude suede. These Pour La Victoire Portia Platform Pumps fit the bill perfectly.
