Skis, Snow, and Style

Even though I’ve been back from Colorado for a few days now, I keep dreaming of the snow and the mountains. Whether it’s with your family or friends, taking a winter vacation is definitely underrated! I loved being able to hit the slopes skiing just as much as sitting back with a hot cup of cocoa and watching the snow fall. Luckily, I came prepared for the cold weather and was able to layer with minimal bulk and stay warm while on my outside adventures!

During the day, this Lacroix Meije jacket proved to be super warm and absolutely became one of my favorites pieces. Stylish, lightweight, and dry, it’s perfect for the mountains and will be easy to transition into my wardrobe back in Austin. This ski jacket was easy to layer on the slopes because of its fitted cut, so I was always warm no matter where the sun was. While I am now putting away my snow clothes until the next trip, I’m planning on keeping this jacket on rotation until spring officially arrives.

To complete the look (and keep me ski-ready), I wore Lacroix socks which offered ultimate warmth without the typical bulk from ski socks. They also have reinforced cushioning on the ankles and shins to keep you skiing for longer! A pro note for athletic slope style is to invest in quality pieces in neutral shades to allow for easy mixing and matching between days. I’ll go for a splash of color in my coat or with a scarf, but it makes it significantly easier to dress in the morning if everything I own pairs well with everything else.
