Weekend Sweet: Hilary Duff

TGIF! Whether you’re headed out of town or staying close to home, it’s time to break out the weekend wear. Hilary Duff is my inspiration this Friday, in an outfit she wore for weekend travel. Looking undeniably sweet, she jet sets in a striped sweater and slim bells. A touch of turquoise, a flirty fedora, and an oversized tote complete the ensemble. Cozy up or catch a flight, it’s time to get comfy chic.

1. Vince Rugby Striped Crew Neck Sweater ($295)
Hilary Duff paired her Vince sweater with bells, but it can easily take on leggings, skinnies, even a skirt. It’s sweater season, and this colorblocked cutie fits the bill. Relaxed fit with dropped shoulder seams.

2. Blank Denim Regular Rise Bell Jeans ($80)
Lounge day in or Saturday night out, these weekend-friendly jeans are ready for anything. Their dark finish and super stretch fabric travel extremely well.

3. Marc by Marc Jacobs Classic Q Francesca Tote ($528)
A bag to take you from work week to weekend and back again, this Marc Jacobs tote has room for more than just the essentials. Pebbled leather handbag with gold hardware, logo plate, and pleating at the bottom.

4. DANNIJO Irina Cuff ($392)
A touch of turquoise adds just the right amount of color to Duff’s otherwise neutral outfit. This statement cuff is accessorizing made easy…one and you’re done! Antiqued brass bangle with a Swarovski crystal, a polished turquoise stone, and snake-chain accents.

5. Eugenia Kim Max Sequin Fedora Hat ($286)
Perhaps Duff was using her hat to maintain a low profile, but a fedora this cute will only get you noticed. This Eugenia Kim fedora goes weekend casual with its distressed sequins and unfinished edges. Twisted chiffon band.

6. Modern Vintage Shoes Jenie Patform Booties ($275)
Finish strong with a fall must-have: the bootie. Although Modern Vintage gave these booties stacked heels and platforms, their nubuck finish and exposed back zipper give them a relaxed vibe. Pair with bells or fall’s other wardrobe staple: the skirt (see yesterday’s post for further inspiration!).
