Every Fall Wardrobe Needs The Perfect Fair Isle Sweater

VINCE Fair Isle wool-blend turtleneck sweater

I absolutely LOVE Fall! The weather starts to cool off, my favorite holiday (Halloween!) isn’t too far away, and fall fashion takes over. It’s always fun to see the trends from February’s fashion week catwalks pop up in stores. This season, I’m particularly fond of the Fair Isle trend. The cozy knits and geometric patterns conjure up memories of heading up to the mountains for a weekend of skiing, firepits and make the perfect s’mores.

The fair isle sweater has been the go to sweater style for celebrities and fashionistas alike for good reason. The classic print with Scottish roots is just the thing you need when the days start to turn cooler. It offers so much warmth, comfort, and, well, it just seems absolutely perfect for the new season. I love how it gives off all the Fall feels without being super in your face.

I paired it with muted grey skinny jeans, then added my favorite ankle booties in a complementing shade. I also took my new small Chloe Marcie out for a spin! In case you haven’t heard, blush is the new must have neutral and can pair with just about everything which is a very important detail when shopping for a statement bag. It has such a classic shape (not like some of Chloe’s more trendy bags that will only be good for a period of time then it’s last season’s news!) this bag will be fashionable & classic season after season. I also love that I can detach the shoulder strap and carry it in the crook of my arm by the wrapped handles.

If only it wasn’t 85 degrees in Austin…

What do you think about this trend?

Do you have any favorite Fair Isle pieces you plan on wearing all autumn long?
