My Weekend Style: Sun & Shadow

Peasant-top-nordstrom

March can seem like fashion limbo. Caught up between the chill of winter and the warmth of spring, the temperatures can rise and fall hourly. Factor in spring showers, clouds, and winds…and you know that finding the right thing to wear can become quite the dilemma. To make things easier for you, I’ve working on hand-selected a few of my favorite transitional pieces and will be posting them throughout March. Keep in mind that a parka and peasant blouse works a long way into spring, as does the bootie, just choose season-appropriate colors and cuts. I love this pretty mosaic-inspired pattern on this airy peasant blouse. It is also accented with smocked details and a flowing high/low hem. Trust me, this top will be in heavy rotation in my Spring wardrobe as it is so easy to throw on and go and I love that the olive color goes with almost everything.

I have expressed my love for this Madewell jacket HERE and HERE and the love affair continues.

If you’re stuck wearing your winter basics throughout the month, punch up your looks with color, especially tangerine or lovely pastels….I also love cream and blush for Spring!
